USDF Dressage Spirit Award
Offered by the USDF National Youth Programs Committee, this award recognizes USDF youth members who have made significant contributions to their local equestrian communities and who promote the sport of dressage in a variety of ways. This award looks to promote youth who have brought about a positive change in their equestrian community through volunteering, community building, furthering youth involvement in the sport, etc. Recipients of this award will be selected by the USDF Youth Programs Committee.
Youth members must fit the following criteria in order to be eligible to receive this award:
- The youth member must be age 21 or younger.
- The youth member must be a USDF Participating Member, GMO Member, and/or Education Member.
Youth members may be nominated for this award in one of two ways:
- A Group Member Organization (GMO) may nominate a youth member. If the youth member is selected to receive this award, the nominating GMO will then be recognized alongside the youth member on our USDF website.
- Any person (other than the nominee’s parent) may nominate a youth for this award by completing the nomination form and returning it to the USDF Youth Programs Liaison. The nominator does not need to be a USDF member.
All recipients of this award will receive a lapel pin and a certificate and will be recognized in the USDF Connection and at the Adequan®/USDF Annual Convention.
USDF offers two different awards rewarding good sportsmanship and exemplary participation. These awards have different criteria, read more about the USDF Youth Shining Star Program here.
