Colonel Donald Thackeray (1998)

Colonel Donald ThackerayIn recognition of his outstanding contributions to equestrian sports in the United States. Colonel Thackeray was the only person to hold FEI "O" judge status in four Olympic sports: dressage, driving, show jumping, and three-day event. He officiated with distinction in six Olympic Games and two Pan American Games. As a director of the AHSA, FEI and USET, Colonel Thackeray devoted his post military life to a high standard of excellence in equestrian sports.
